Caravan class

As most of you know I help teach a caravan class at my church on Wednesday. This past Wednesday night we finished our badge for "Art" it was really fun. Holly Hodge the other teacher led them in a scrapbook page. They were free to do with it however they wanted...we did have a picture that was taken this past Christmas at our Christmas program. I have them below for you to view...they did such a great job.

Above is my class. I am going to now show you them individually so you can see the detail...I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did.

Well I hope that everyone had a Wonderful Christmas and good New year. Upward started this past weekend. so for the next 7 weeks we are Upward bound!!

I am so proud of my quiz group....today was the first Sunday that all 8 of them said at least one memory verse. They are doing so good and I hope that they all make it to World quiz. I know it is going to be a lot of hard work but I also believe in each of them.

Before Christmas Pastor Tim spoke about New Years Resolutions vs New Years Revolutions - - well this year I am going to work to be more patient.....with God's help I know that I can conquer this for his sake.

Wore out from being a big brother

Aiden came over today to spend some time with me while his little brother went for a check up. At first he was playing and "entertaining" the two little ones that I had today.

The next thing I knew he was quite...I got up to see what he was doing and he was out in the swing....

Conner James is here

I am a "great" aunt again. Conner James Hogan made his appearance into this world on Tuesday, November 25 at 7:48 pm. He weighed 8 lbs and 5 ozs and was 20 1/4 inches long.

Conner had a rough start, somehow during labor he got the hiccups and swallowed fluid. He ended up with pneumonia and had to be in the NICU for 5 days. He was in oxygen tent until Thursday and then off the Nasal canal on Friday.

The funny thing about his birth is Daniel (daddy) did a poll for everyone to guess his birth weight. 3 weeks prior at a doctor visit the doctor had told them Conner weighed 5 lbs 7 ozs. so I first thought well they say that a baby will gain a lb each week during the last month...so I almost said 8lbs 7 ozs...but then since Aiden was so small I ended up guessing 6 lbs 2 ozs...needless to say I LOST!!! Daniels mom won with her guess of 7 lbs 5 oz. I did however when the time...I guessed 7:32 pm and he was born at 7:48..I was pretty excited.

On Sunday 11-30 Conner, Kristin and Daniel was able to leave the hospital!!! Aiden sure was glad to be home.

While everyone was in the hosptial Aiden stayed with Aunt "nanet" and uncle chip. I realized that I was not as young as I used to be. I did get a couple nights break when Aiden went with GMay. But I enjoyed him being with us.

Can you believe it is Christmas time....

Can you believe that it is already Christmas time....with only 22 more shopping days left....I have put up our tree, Navity, snow village, and inside decoration. It just seems to be too cold for me to get outside to put those decorations up...I am hoping that Chip or Christopher decide that they want to do it and take over.

I have started buying presents but this weekend hope to get it all done....we are going to Dallas to see Jeana and David and do some major shopping. I hope that they next time I blog I can say that I am totally done with shopping and can truly enjoy the reason for the Season.

I will post some pictures of my decoration soon!!

OH My!!! My son is 13

I can't believe that it has been almost 11 months since I have been blogging but I promise I will do my best to be better!!! I don't have an excuse but thank goodness that Angela Moss had my blog on her blog so I could get it again. I had no clue what it was!!!

Today my son, Christopher, turned 13! I can't believe he is a teen! This time 13 years ago...he was in the NICU and I couldn't even as much tuch him. It was so scary but God took over and here he is...healthy and strong and the typical teenage boy!!!

He is in 7th grade this year and tomorrow is interim reports come home. Hopefully they will be better than I am expecting.

I'm back

Well a lot has changed since the last time I have posted. I am now a stay home mom who babysits her two great nephews. I LOVE IT!!

I also am now selling avon....so if you ever want to see a book please let me know. you can also look at my website....it is youravon.com/jmiller2033. I have only been doing it long enough to have one campaign...but I did really well on my first campaign. I am excited about both of these new adventures God has lead me too.

We are right in the middle of Upward season so every weekend we are there. but I am enjoying this as well.

It is so amazing to see how God works. and I am excited to see what he has in store for us in the future.

Well now that I am at home I will stay more on top of my blogs.....

My birthday

WOW!! I turned 36 this year! wasn't a hard birthday at all until Chip said to me you know in 4 years you are going to be 40 and that is not bad and I said no and then he said and in 4 years Pher is going to be 16 and driving....and then it set in.......man o man I am getting old and my little man is growing up!!!! Wow how times flies!!!!!

I had a great birthday though. Monday I had lunch with Debbie at Colton's and then for Supper my mom and dad, Janie and Chris, Josh, Alec, Kristin, Aiden, Chip and Pher and Sarah Kellerman had birthday supper for me at Dixie Cafe. Tuesday I had lunch with Carla at Chili's and then Supper with my mom-in-law and father-in-law, Chip and Pher at Cock of the Walk in Maumelle. Man was it good. (We saw some monster snapping turtles in the pond) Wednesday my mom, dad, Kristin, Aiden and Pher took me to lunch at Chili's. Thursday (today) I had birhtday lunch with Tammy, Libbi, and Nesha at Larry's Pizza and tomorrow my boss, Philip is taking me to eat. I received several cards and ecards and I had a wonderful birthday/week Thanks to all my friends and family.

Time with my extended family

Saturday we went to Cabot to be with Chip's family. His sister came down for the weekend with her kids. It was a lot of fun. We spent most of the day in Cabot. I took my niece Jenna to Wal-Mart to let her pick out a toy. She knew she wanted a "barbie" until we got the barbie and then we went looking for her little sister something and she found makeup so of course we had to get both the barbie and makeup. (I know Aunt Janet spoils these babies) We took forever finding something for little Addie....But we finally settled on a play cell phone and a horse flashlight. I had bought Jenna one when she was Addison's age except hers was a cow so it was kinda fitting.

We had a photo session....she would only let me take a picture of her if I let her take a picture of me....here is her picture ...I wasn't able to get a good picture of Addison but hopefully I will get one of her soon and will be able to post it.

My mother-in-law made two new awesome deserts...one was a banana split pie and the other was a brownie pie thing...both were so good.....I am going to have to get both receipes. she says they are both very easy.

Any way then we went to Dixie Cafe to eat supper and then the girls went to Target while the men went back to the house. I really had a good time.

I wish that they lived closer so that we could spend more time around them. but am thankful for the time I do get with them.

What a week

Well it has been quite a week........with exciting things happening.

Sunday Daniel, Kristin's husband left for Police Academy. Although it was a sad time for them he has done very well this week...I believe he made squad leader this week. He is doing very well. We are all very proud of him.....

Monday it really stormed very badly....it was quite scary at least for me.....it was so dark

Wednesday night First Kids had a pool party at the Milburns/Favre's it was a really fun time.

Wednesday night....Little Aiden and Kristin spent the night with Aunt J.....well he decided he wanted to stay awake most of the night....I really think his stomach was hurting....but since he does this most of the night I am not sure.....he may just have his days and nights mixed up....but I took several new pictures of him so here they are.....

Then yesterday my sister, Janie, turned 40. We had a great time at Dixie Cafe. We celebrated and decorated her part of the truck. I will have to post those pictures when I get them downloaded.

We went to Mount Harbor for the weekend. It was really a GREAT time. Friday night before we left we went to supper at Larry's Pizza here in Conway with my family and Daniel's family to celebrate him getting excepted to police academy. He left yesterday for Cameden. Then we travel on to Hot Springs where we stopped at Wal-Mart to get our groceries for the weekend. and then on to Mt Harbor.

We took Alec, my nephew, with us which was great fun!!!

Saturday, I slept until 10:30......Chips says I sleep more than any person he has ever met.....I don't know about that but it sure feels great to get to sleep!!! Then when I got up we went to get stuff for the pool and then went to the pool. we stayed there for about 4 hours. We had a lot of fun. We all played in the pool. Chip layed out most of all and I played with the boys. I really enjoyed it.

We went into Hot Springs for Supper and ate at the Olive Garden. it was good!!! Then Chip and the boys went to ride Go Carts. Then we went back to the condo.

Sunday we got up and went to watch Macy Trevillion dance at the National Competition. She did very well! My favorite is Ooh Child! which got 5th overall, another one of hers Miracle got 4th and Come on Everybody (which made it to the dance off) made 2nd overall - These also got Elite top firsts in their divisions. Their big production got 2nd also. WAY to go Macy and Way to Go to Miss Ashley's Dance.

Almost 6 weeks - Going home

I just talked to my friend, Kim, and next Thursday the 12th....her daughter Erica will be going home. If you will remember she was in a car accident on June 2nd. She had to have 2 surgeries and has been in extensive rehab. This week she has taken her first steps on her left leg which is really good. She still has a long way to go as it will be about 6 months before she can walk on her right leg.

I ask that you continue to pray that God will give Kim strength and guidance. I also ask that you pray for Erica that she will somehow come to know God in a real and intimate way. That she will see that she has been given another chance here at life and that she she has been placed here for a reason.

I want to thank each of you who have prayed already for Kim, Erica, Cayton and all of the doctor, thereapist, nurses......they are certainly appreciated.

Waiting on Aiden

Waiting is no fun for anyone....grown or little......we took several breaks by going outside to release some energy. I was glad that my other little nephew was there so that I had someone to play with.

We threw pennies in the fountain, we hug poles (thanks to his uncle Chip) we played in the fountain, ate candy.

New Edition - Aiden Clay

Aiden Clay Hogan - My nephew - made his appearance into this world - Saturday, June 30th at 6:27 pm. He weighed 5 lbs 7 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long. He is doing very well. Kristin and Daniel are very proud parents.

He was born on his Uncle Jared's (danield brother) birthday and on Chip and I anniversary.

It is amazing how small he is.

I think everyone in his family has held him except for his grandpa randy, great grandpa "pa". But I know in time that will happen.....they just want him to get a little bigger.

Vacation

Last week we went on vacation with Debbie and Kent.We went to Gulf Shores. It was so nice. The weather was great everyday.It was a week of relaxing for me. I slept late everyday. I did work on my tan....and I think I might have brought home a "twin" of pher's because he is definetely 3 shades darker.

We went to several great restaurants.....and went to a couple of fun places. Christopher played lazer tag the first night with a bunch of older kids and beat them all so he was very excited. The next day it was just me and him.....and mommy won...YEA me.....needless to say it wasn't has fun to him them. LOL

We went to lots of great restaurants....We went to Lamberts, Crab Trap, Bayside Grill, LuLu's.

We went shopping at Foley's outlet mall on Wednesday.....I did very well this year....you will even have to ask Chip......

Thursday I just hung out in the condo and took it easy.

Please be in prayer for my friend Kim's daughter, Erica. Conway Rehab has denied her to come to their facility so she will either go to Big Baptist rehab or Springhill Baptist rehab. Either way she will go today. Her doctor told Kim today that she will have to be in rehab by the end of the day. I am asking that you pray for strength for Erica that she will continue to progress and have the will to get better. Since Friday she has done very well. She has had many "first"since June 2nd since this past Friday.... She sit up again, she has had her hair washed, she has brushed her hair unassisted, brushed her teeth, took her first step on leg leg, went to the bathroom. I know those sound small but they are HUGE steps in her progress. I am also asking that you pray for Kim that she will be able to handle the challenge that is ahead of her. Being that she will have to take care of Cayton, her two year old son, work, take care of Erica (be her cheerleader) all basically on her own. Thank goodness she is a Christian and she knows that God will carry her through. It has been a tough road but I truly believe that it is going to get tougher now with the "real" work only just beginning with Erica going to the Rehab center. Thanks for all your prayers.

Technology is GREAT.....if you remember

Blogging is GREAT....I really like it....but I forgot how to get on here and Post a new update....that is why I haven't posted lately. and I will admit I was too embarrassed to ask my blogging friends. hahaha

Well lots have happened since I have last been on. We went to Texas this past weekend so Kyler, Macy and Christopher could Quiz in the Regional Quiz over the book of Acts. They all did so good. I will post a picture from this event hopefully either later tonight or tomorrow when I down load them from my camera.

Kristin, my niece, is now on bedrest until Aiden is born....but the good news is he is looking to be a healthy baby boy. As of the Ultrasound yesterday he is weighing at 5 1/2 lbs if he continues to grow and goes full term he will weigh 8 1/2 lbs. I say that is a big boy!!! He must take after his Uncle Chip and Aunt Janet. :)

Please be in Prayer for my life time friend Kim Taylor's daughter, Erica Morris. She was in an automobile accident June 2nd. She broke her left femuer, Right hip socket and crushed and fractured her pelvis and 8 places. she had surgery the 3rd to fix her femuer and today will be having surgery to work on her hip and pelvis. Please pray that God's will be done. and that the Doctors and nurses that care for her will be the ones that God would have for her. Please also pray for Kim and that God would give her strength Wisdom and Courage.

Back at Work

I am finally back at work!!!! I am so glad! I am hoping to get back to a normal routine! I was off work for over 3 weeks and I tell you that is a long time!!! I worked from home but it is just not the same! Don't think I could be a home based person at all. One day a week would be nice but not every day!! I like the interaction to much!!!

Had a great memorial day weekend. We went to see Macy Trevillion's dance recital on Friday night. Which was wonderful! We really enjoyed it! There is some very talented dancers at Miss Ashley's Dance School.

Saturday we went to Lavacca to see Cody, Chip's nephew, graduate from High School. It was neat. He got a truck for his graduation from his dad....and bless his heart 3 days later wrecked it. A boy stopped right in front of him on purpose and he totaled it.

Sunday night we went to MiMi's cafe to celebrate Debbie Britton's birthday and then to watch the fireworks at Riverfest.

Monday, we went to Dover to see Christopher at his tractor pull. For the first time in three years he got 2 first place. We were so excited!!!! I will post pictures hopefully tomorrow.

Home for another week......

Well I went back to the doctor today.....and while I still tested postive for mono he does not believe that I am contaigous since I have been on three rounds of antibotics. But he does want me to stay home for another week. He say I could get out a little each day but nothing major as a relapse would be worse on my body.

Christopher came in 2nd out of 7 in one of his pulls and 4th out of 5th on the other pull. He had some new competition this time and the one that usually beats him...his tractor was not running good at all. His next pull is on Memorial day. Hopefully I will feel up to going to it and it will be a nice day for it.

I have decided to Blog

Well I have decided to start blogging. Maybe it is because I have been cooped up in my house for so long. But I have decided that this is a way to let everyone know what is going on.

But I do have some good news to share...my fever only got up past 100 for 30 minutes today. So I truly believe that God is beginning to heal my body. I am going to continue to rest as I don't want to have a relapse of this. Thanks for all the prayers and continuing to keep them coming.

Christopher has his first tractor pull tomorrow night at Perryville...I will miss it. My dad promises to take pictures so I will be able to post them and let you know how he does.
